Introducing The City Bag: Behind the Design

Our first handbag is finally here. Here’s a little look at how The City Bag went from an idea to the bag we now take everywhere.

WHY WE MADE IT

We knew exactly what we wanted

When we first started talking about creating an INSÉRIF bag, the wish list got long pretty quickly.

It needed to fit a laptop (without looking like a laptop bag). Have enough room for all the things we somehow end up carrying around every day. Feel just as right heading into the office as it does going for dinner afterwards.

Basically, we wanted one bag that could keep up with all of it.

So, we made it.

GETTING THE DETAILS RIGHT

Then came the details.

And there were a lot of them.

The size. The strap drop. Where the inside pockets should sit. How much could actually fit inside. How it felt on your shoulder with a coat on. Whether your laptop could have its own space without taking over the entire bag.

We went back and forth until it felt right - because the little things are usually the things you notice most when you use a bag every day.

The end result? A bag designed to do a little bit of everything.

From Shoot Day to the Final Campaign

And then we finally got to take her out.

For the campaign, we wanted to show The City Bag exactly where we imagined it - out in the city, styled with the kind of looks we'd actually wear and moving through the day rather than sitting perfectly on a shelf.
